My Review:
Let me just start by saying WOW!!
Now that I have got that out of the way, I will begin my review.
I loved this book, from its intricate mythology and lore, to the beautiful romance and instant connection between the to star-crossed lovers, and the secret abilities that are revealed along the way.
I love the way that the author incorporated the Celtic mythology of Danu the creator goddess, and the Tu De Danann (also known as the Fae in traditional myths). This was cleverly intertwined with genetics and magic that made for a delightful story that although a lot of time was spent discussing the lore, it was totally engaging, and engrossing that it did not bother me at all.
I love the main characters, particularly Anya, who was a sweet and funny character, that you couldn’t help but love. Megan was a very likeable character, who was willing to sacrifice everything for love. I admired this about her, and loved her epic moment towards the end of the book where she came into her own. Adam, although aloof at the beginning was a fantastic male lead. His mysterious quiet boy status at the beginning gives way to an loving and loyal guy who will do anything to keep them together, despite the obstacles they face.
Oh and how can i forget the romance. Whew, what a spark exists between Megan and Adam. Their relationship was so steamy, yet so sweet and romantic at the same time. I spent half the book smiling at the sweetness, and romance, as well as laughing out loud at lot at various points in the book.
The narration was fantastic. All the accents were superbly done, and the characters voices were clearly defined and distinguishably from each other.
In conclusion, I LOVED THIS BOOK, and highly recommend that you pick it up ASAP!!!
